Welcome to Rancho Viejo Resort & Country Club

Rancho Viejo is a private family-oriented golf resort that stretches across 1,400 verdant acres in the tropical Lower Rio Grande Valley in South Texas. At 26.04 degrees latitude, the lower Rio Grande valley is at the southernmost point of the mainland United States; practically due west of Miami. If you are headed here for golf or other outdoor activities you'll be happy to know that a National Golf Foundation poll concluded that the Rio Grande Valley has more playable days of golf per year than anywhere else in the United States - less than 25 days a year are lost!

Built along resacas, the ancient waterways of the Rio Grand Delta, Rancho Viejo offers a golfing paradise. Our championship golf has a long history of greatness; playing host to the PGA Tour Qualifying School for Curtis Strange, Craig Stadler, and Peter Jacobson.

Also located on property are two excellent dining facilities and a conference center with plenty of meeting and special occasion event rooms. Our award winning swimming pool, with its very large waterfall and beach landing, will remind you of the South Seas.

Rancho Viejo, dates back to the Espiritu Land Grant by the King of Spain 1771. Ever present is the influence of the Spanish and Mexican heritage. You see it in the red tile roofs, fountains and tropical gardens that grace the public areas of the resort.

Hotel accommodations are in 1, 2 and 3 bedroom villas located along the El Diablo golf course or the Resaca del Rancho Viejo. All villas are furnished with new modern-style furnishings and have beautiful views. They are quiet and peaceful. Parking is plentiful and available in front of each villa as well as around the other resort facilities
